The Doctor Is In is an occasional series where JHU Press authors discuss the latest developments and news in health and medicine.

At this time of the year, many of us are surrounded by people and environments that are wrapped up in the joy and chaos of the holiday season. This guest post from Dr. Noonan originally appeard in the JHU Press blog. Read the full post here.
